The Great 80's Arcade Games

Arcade games have become so famous in the year 1980's. Mostly, the games that are present today are just the enhanced version of the games that were created before.

During that time, many enjoyed the arcade games. There are so many arcade games in the 80's that are still famous until now.

Here are some of the most famous arcade games of the 80's:

• Battlezone (Atari Inc) it was the first arcade that feature 3D environment. The citizens of the US were so impressed about this particular game.

In fact, the Armed Forces of United States got the idea of tanks training from this particular arcade.

• Berserk (Universal Research Laboratory) was the first game with speaking characters. The people became so curious about this game. DEvelopment costs were really expensive, because of the digitalization of 30 words!
And in fact many games on the market today are just expanded versions of this old arcade game.

• Defender (Williams Electronics) it was a member of VIDEOTOPIA and was made by Eugene Jarvis. It was the first arcade game that has made a great hit among the games produced by Williams Electronics.

It became so famous because of being the first arcade game featuring an artificial world. The game can be presented on the outside view as the player plays the game.

• Pac-Man (Bally/Midway) this particular game is still famous this present time. There are many versions of this game, people love playing it repeatedly.

The concept of this game is from a Japanese Folktale, it became so famous in Japan making a yen shortage. It also hit the biggest market in US.

It has become the cover of Time Magazine and appeared on the Saturday-Morning cartoon. It does not only capture the Gaming world but the music industry as well. Songs are made because of its existence.

• Missile Command (Atari Inc) another great creation of Atari aside from the famous Battlezone. It was originally called Armageddon. It caught the attention of many people of the US because it features a clear reflection of the nuclear conflict in the US. It became so famous that more than 100 arcade games were created.

• Gorf (Bally/Midway) a very different shoot and slide game compared to other games. It was the first games to offer different environment on stage-by-stage presentation. It is also one of the talking arcade games.

• Donkey Kong (Nintendo Ltd.) it was one among the first arcade games with whimsical storyline. It is a story about a giant ape that became curious on a female human. It is also named "Jumpman" which is now known by the name of Mario.

• Centipede (Atari Inc) the first arcade game designed by a woman. It was the first colorful arcade that attracts more female players than male arcade players.

• Tempest (Atari Inc) it was the first game produced by Atari that features color vector display. It also features 3D graphics and was inspired by the dream of the designer.

• Quantum (Atari Inc) it was designed by an outside company, which was based on the quantum mechanics.

• Star Wars (Atari Inc) it also became so famous in the US. It also Feature 3D environment and characters as well.

It originally uses a joystick; one among the first arcade games which uses it.

Arcade game - had astronaut with jet pac and gun. Full colour. Had giant Easter Island heads in game. Called??

I kno its not JetPac. This was a full colour, arcade game which was a scroller. It had Easter Island heads through the game and objects that flew towards you from out of the water. This game was probably about 20 years ago but it was very advanced for its time. What was it called??
The main character, hovered with a gun and he was big on the screen.

Wigan is a beautiful town located in Greater Manchester, England. Wigan is not far from places like Preston and Liverpool. Wigan is quite big, with a population of 81 203. Some of Wigan's popular shopping locations are:

Grand Arcade Shopping Centre- This shopping centre is open on Mon-Sat: 9am-6pm and Sun 11am-5pm. Also, this shopping centre is not far from two of Wigan's train stations, Wigan Wellgate and Wigan North Western. Grand Arcade Shopping Centre has many retailers, such as, Marks and Spencer, JD Sports, HMV, Clintons, BHS and Debenhams. There is a variety of stores, from high street to big brands. There are also many places to eat and drink in Grand Arcade Shopping Centre, for example, Costa Coffee and BB's Coffee & Muffins. Grand Arcade Shopping Centre has plans for further development.

Wigan Town Centre- Wigan Town Centre has some of the major retail stores, some are, Debenhams, Next, Primark and BHS. As well as department stores, Wigan Town Centre also has independent and high street retailers. With fantastic shopping and places to eat, Wigan Town Centre has something for everyone. Wigan Town Centre has previously been awarded with the 'Safer Shopping Award'.

Robin Park- This Retail Park consists or shopping, a sports and leisure centre. Also in Robin Park is Empire Cinema. This cinema has 11 screening rooms. Additional, in Robin Park is ASDA, JJB Sports, Allied Carpets, Pets at Home, Wickes, Matalan, Next, Comet, Carpetright and Argos. Places to eat in Robin Park are, Burger King, Pizza Hut, McDonalds and Red Robin Pub.

The Galleries Shopping Centre- The opening times of The Galleries Shopping Centre are, Mon-Sat: 9am-5.30pm and Sun: 11am-5pm. The post code for The Galleries Shopping Centre is, WN1 1AR. This can be used for satellite navigation. The Galleries Car Park is big, and holds 625 cars. The car park is situated on Mesnes Street. The Galleries Shopping Centre includes Argos, Glamour Point, Beaverbrooks, Holland & Barret, New Look and Minx Shoes.

After a very fun day of shopping in Wigan, I find it's best to relax and grab a bite to eat. Here are some popular places to eat in Wigan:

Franco's Italian Restaurant- This beautiful Italian restaurant is situated in the centre of Wigan. Franco's provides a variety of delicious Italian food, such as, pizzas and pastas. Also in Franco's, is a children's many which offers food such as, chicken and chips. Franco's wine list consists of White Wine, Champagne and Red Wine. One of my neighbors just came back from Vegas. They found a large place, just off the strip, that was filled with vintage pinball machine & all kinds of arcade games, many of which you could play. They tell me that it was a store that sold them & was well worth a visit. Being tourists, they did not know the street names or even the stores real name other then the pinball place. Anybody know of this place??

(40GB ps3)arcade games such as Super stardust, Pixel junk eden, Zen pinball, Mortal kombat 2, Flower, Wolf of battlefield, Pain with 4 characters i bought, Bionic commando rearmed, Go! sports ski, High velocity bowling, The punisher no mercy, Rag doll kung fu, And Ray man ps1 classic.it also comes with all cables with hdmi cable, controller, and ghost recon advance war fighter2 and motorstorm(with includes some add on i bought).

Uhm if you add everythin up i would pay about 350 through 420$ for it but i dont know if its used or not so the ps3 might be scratched and hdmi wires arent all that much there 5$ on ebay so 375 is good for that stuff.
